Stage Facilities

Stage Size

The stage has a proscenium arch with a small apron. The Pros arch is 6.9mtrs (20ft) wide and 3.04mtrs (10ft) tall. The stage is 4mtrs (13ft) deep behind the arch and the front apron is 1.2mtrs (4ft) in front of the main tabs.

The stage has a simple grid overhead.

Lighting

The stage has a permanent installation of two rows of small flood's overhead, each row has three lanterns, they are 300w each. Each row is controlled by a wall mounted dimmer unit on the side of the stage. Note these lanterns cannot take colour filters they get too hot!

There are also two permanently installed Strand Quartet spot lights FOH also controlled from the same dimmer unit.

FOH also has a pre-wired lighting bar with 8 CEE 16Amp sockets connected to 6 channels. Sockets 1 & 8 and 2 & 7 are paired. The other end of the cable from this bar is terminated in 6 15A plugs on stage.

There is a similar lighting bar installed just behind the main drapes.

We have a small number of lanterns mainly Fresnel's.

Power is available from 3 off 63Amp sockets although it should be noted that the max current available from the single phase supply is only 100Amps and this is for the entire hall. There are also some 13 amp sockets on stage.

There is a DMX link from the stage to the rear of the hall to allow a lighting desk to be installed at the rear of the hall.

Sound

The hall has two self powered speakers either side of the proscenium arch these are connected to a small mixer on the side of the stage this has inputs for line and microphone and there is a radio mike installed permanently.

A foldback speaker which is self powered is mounted overhead on stage which is fed by line level signals.

The sound system also incorporates a feedback reduction system utilising an automatic graphic equaliser.

There is a multi way cable with XLR connections between the stage and the back of the hall allowing a sound desk to be installed at the rear of the hall.

The Hall also has a disabled hearing loop system fed from a microphone mounted in the ceiling of the main hall.

Stage Drapes

As well as the main tabs the stage has two pairs of black legs mounted on swivels with a pair of black overhead frills to match, and a pair of black curtains close to the rear of the stage. The wall behind these curtains is also painted black.

Stage access

There are a pair of double fire doors just to one side of the front of the stage these open into the car park and facilitate easy loading and unloading.

The stage has small wings and access is on one side through a door leading to the dressing room and toilet.
